Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 25 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to register. By registering, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you're genuinely seeking a serious relationship, not casual dating or another purpose.

2. How the Service Works

• Registration and your 1-on-1 interview are always free.
• We review every registration and may accept or decline it at our discretion.
• After your interview, we'll work on your first match for free. An active membership is required for any matches after that — see our Membership page for current pricing.
• Once we identify a candidate we believe is a good fit, we may share your profile with them — free for your first match, and requiring an active membership for any match after that. If you're both interested, we schedule and host a facilitator-led introduction.
• We do not guarantee a match, an introduction, or any relationship outcome. Matching depends on the pool of candidates available at any given time.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Membership Fees

Membership payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Fees are described on our Membership page and may change for new agreements. The price in your signed agreement remains fixed for its permitted renewals. A plan or price change requires your affirmative consent to a new written agreement.

Memberships renew automatically at the end of each term — every 6 months for Essential, annually for Value and Premium — and we'll charge the payment method on file at renewal unless you cancel before then. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard to stop future renewals.

You may cancel this contract, for a full refund, at any time before midnight of the 3rd business day after the date of purchase, as provided under North Carolina's Prepaid Entertainment Contracts Act (N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 66-118 through 66-125). The purchase screen and your signed agreement state the exact calendar deadline. To cancel, use the option in your dashboard or send written notice to Satvik Milan LLC, 5643 Slaytenbush Ln, Durham, NC 27703, or hello@satvikmilan.com — no reason is required. Mailed notice is effective when properly addressed, postage prepaid, and deposited in the mail. A timely refund will be issued within 30 days.

After that window, North Carolina law may also permit cancellation and a refund of at least 90% of the pro-rata cost of unused services when continued benefit is prevented by death or long-term disability, a qualifying relocation by you, or our relocation or material impairment of the Service. Upon request, we will deliver your personal and private records, including questionnaire answers, photographs, evaluations, and background information, within 30 days. If the aggregate price of all contracts in force between us exceeds $1,500, we will, within 30 days after request, refund the pro-rata cost of unused services under all such contracts without a contractual cancellation fee. Qualifying servicemembers and dependents also retain all rights under applicable military-service laws, including N.C. Gen. Stat. § 127B-30.

Each paid purchase has its own completed, dated, electronically signed agreement showing the selected service, price, term, exact cancellation deadline, and applicable disclosures. A PDF copy is emailed as an attachment when you sign, before payment begins, and remains downloadable from your dashboard. The agreement becomes effective only after successful payment. Additional introductions expire on the precise date stated in their agreement, no later than three years after purchase. No membership agreement, including renewals, will exceed three years in aggregate without a new agreement. More protective mandatory laws of your home state remain applicable.

5. Your Conduct

By using the Service, you agree to our Code of Conduct, and specifically agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information about yourself.
• Harass, threaten, or behave inappropriately toward another user or our facilitators.
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation, advertising, or any purpose other than seeking a genuine relationship.
• Share another participant's personal information without their consent.
• Attempt to circumvent our matching process or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe, in good faith, that you've violated these Terms or the Code of Conduct.

6. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of the photos, BioData/resume, and other content you submit. By submitting it, you grant Satvik Milan a license to use it solely to operate the Service — for example, showing your profile photo to a proposed match, or using your BioData to help our matchmakers evaluate compatibility. We won't use your content for marketing without your separate permission.

You represent that your content is accurate, lawful, does not infringe another person's rights, and that you have all permissions needed to submit and share it through the Service. You may not submit illegal, deceptive, harassing, malicious, or unauthorized content.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” We do our best to make thoughtful matches, but we can't control the actions, intentions, or accuracy of information provided by other participants. You're responsible for exercising your own judgment and caution, including during video calls with a facilitator or a match.

During your 1-on-1 interview, we confirm that your photo ID matches your registration — that is the extent of our verification. We do not conduct criminal background checks, credit checks, or civil court record checks on any participant, and we do not independently verify anyone's marital status, employment, education, or other information beyond what they self-report. We do not guarantee the authenticity, accuracy, or completeness of any participant's profile. You are solely responsible for your own safety when interacting with a match or facilitator, including using your own judgment and discretion before sharing personal information, and before making any plans to meet in person.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Satvik Milan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including outcomes of introductions or relationships formed through it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or a consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms or the Code of Conduct. Any termination or suspension remains subject to refund and other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes may be brought in a state or federal court with lawful jurisdiction in North Carolina. This does not waive mandatory consumer rights or lawful venue available in your home jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable advance notice by email or in the Service. Changes apply prospectively; material changes to a paid contract require any consent mandated by law and do not reduce rights already earned under an existing agreement.

12. Electronic Records

Paid purchases require separate affirmative consent to electronic records and signatures. Before purchase, we disclose the hardware and software needed to access HTML, email, and PDF records; how to request paper copies; how to update your contact information; and how to withdraw consent prospectively. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate records already delivered electronically. Our collection and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. General Terms

Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except obligations that cannot lawfully be excused. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. You may not assign your account or agreement without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct, purchase-specific agreement, and checkout receipt are the entire agreement for the applicable service.
