1. Information We Collect

• Account information — name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
• Registration profile — phone number, city, profession, age, date/time/place of birth, marital status, gender and partner gender preference, relationship goals, interests, diet and lifestyle preferences, a self-description, and what you're looking for in a partner.
• Photos and documents — a profile photo, optional additional photos, and an optional BioData/resume file you upload.
• Interview information — notes our matchmakers take during your 1-on-1 interview, including citizenship/visa status, religion, languages spoken, family background, and detailed partner preferences.
• Membership and communications — your membership status, and the content of messages you send through our contact form, chat, or in response to scheduling emails.
• Technical information — basic session data (via cookies) needed to keep you signed in.

We only collect what we need to review your registration, conduct your interview, find and propose thoughtful matches, and run introductions — we don't ask for information unrelated to those purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To review and accept or decline registrations.
• To schedule and conduct your free 1-on-1 interview.
• To evaluate compatibility and propose matches based on your interview and stated preferences — your first match is free, and membership is required to continue being matched after that.
• To schedule and host facilitator-led introductions.
• To send you account, scheduling, and status-update emails (e.g. application decisions, interview invites, introduction reminders, email verification, password resets).
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

• With our matchmakers/admin team — the people running Satvik Milan can see your full profile, interview notes, and uploaded documents in order to evaluate and match you.
• With a proposed match — once we share your profile with someone we believe is a good fit, that person can see the profile information and photos you've provided (not your interview notes, contact details, or uploaded BioData/resume file).
• Service providers — we use a third-party email provider to send account and scheduling emails on our behalf, and Stripe to process membership payments. Stripe receives your payment details directly (card number, billing address) — we never see or store your full card number ourselves.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Satvik Milan or our users.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information, including password hashing, access controls that limit who can view your data, and rate limiting on our login and account-recovery flows. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we'll process your request, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal or accounting purposes.

6. Your Choices

• You can review and update most of your profile at any time from your dashboard.
• You can ask us to correct, export, or delete your information by contacting us.
• You can unsubscribe from optional emails; we'll still send account and scheduling emails needed to operate the Service.

7. Children's Privacy

Satvik Milan is intended for adults seeking a serious relationship and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above.
